Good Manners: Everyday Etiquette Past and Present

May 27 - July 18, 2015

This exhibit took an entertaining look at etiquette of everyday life and compared the rules of the past with the present. While good manners never go out of style, the definition of what constitutes good manners changes over time and often depends on the situation, what is fashionable, and the people involved. The exhibit took a closer look at etiquette books of the past, pulling out direct quotes on areas of life including table manners, workplace, homelife and out in public. This special exhibit was on loan from Exhibit Envoy, Information Learning Experiences, Inc.
